Cookie & Tracking Notice
1. What this notice covers
This Cookie & Tracking Notice explains how Athly Operations Pty Ltd (ABN 59 696 739 027) uses cookies and similar technologies on getathly.com and our progressive web app (the "Service"). It supplements our Privacy Policy — read both together.
2. What cookies and similar technologies are
- Cookies are small text files placed on your device that let a website remember your actions and preferences.
- Similar technologies include local storage and session storage in your browser. We refer to all of these as "cookies" in this notice for simplicity.
3. The cookies we use
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We do not run Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, Google Ads tags, or any comparable advertising technology, and we do not sell or share what we collect with advertising networks.

The attribution cookie records which athlete referred you. It does not track you across other websites, does not build an advertising profile, and is not shared with any advertising network.
Product analytics records how you interact with the Service — pages viewed, features used, actions taken — together with your device, browser, and IP address. We use it to understand and improve the product. It is not used to advertise to you, and it does not follow you to other websites.
4. Consent
Australia does not have a standalone "cookie law". The Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) applies where cookies collect personal information, and the OAIC expects transparency about what is set and why.
Strictly necessary, preference, attribution, and payment cookies are set without asking, because the Service cannot work without them. This notice is how we tell you they exist.
Product analytics is different, and you can turn it off. You can opt out at any time using the analytics control in your account settings, or by enabling your browser's "Do Not Track" setting, which we honour. Turning analytics off does not affect anything else about the Service.
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies at all. If we ever introduce one, we will update this notice and ask for your opt-in consent before setting it. We will not deploy such a cookie first and ask afterwards.
5. How to manage or refuse cookies
- Analytics: use the analytics opt-out in your account settings, or enable "Do Not Track" in your browser.
- Your browser: you can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop parts of the Service working — you will not be able to stay signed in.
- Attribution: if you block the attribution cookie, the Service still works normally. It only affects which athlete your subscription is credited to internally.
6. Changes to this notice
We will update this notice whenever our use of cookies changes. The current version is always at getathly.com.
